Exciting times at the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM)!

This annual event is where nearly 2000 local elected officials and about 300 representatives from the BC government gather to shape the future of our communities. UBCM is the largest gathering of political leaders in the province, making it a pivotal platform for discussions on critical issues that affect us all.

Why is UBCM important?

- Decision-Making Hub: Key resolutions are passed here that directly impact funding, resources, and support for municipalities across BC.

- Networking Opportunities: It’s a unique chance for local leaders to connect with industry experts and government officials, fostering partnerships that drive community progress.

- Reality Check: The event provides valuable insights into the current state of municipal governance, highlighting challenges and opportunities on the ground.

With all the decision-makers in one place, UBCM is not just an event—it's where the future of BC is shaped. Let's keep the momentum going for stronger, more resilient communities!
