City of Castlegar Candidate Readiness Workshop

On Tuesday evening I had the privilege at attend an inspiring event hosted by Christina Benty, the former mayor of Golden and a passionate advocate for effective governance!

She shared invaluable insights on leadership development, organizational culture, and community engagement. One of the eye-opening points she made was that local governments only receive eight cents of every tax dollar collected while managing a staggering 65% of our infrastructure.

Her passion for asset management and dedication to awesome governance truly resonated with all of us. It's clear that strong leadership and community involvement are key to building a better future for our towns.

Thank you, Christina, for your vision and commitment to local government
