Anna for Area G

My campaign promise is simple: I will show up, do the hard work, listen to residents, and be transparent and truthful. My five years as a constituency assistant have helped me build strong relationships with ministers, chiefs of staff, and deputy ministers—connections and knowledge I will use to support Area G and help our community get things done.

I am passionate about our community and committed to protecting our environment.

I will fight for better regional bus service, including reliable transportation to and from Nelson for workers and regular options for constituents travelling to the regional hospital in Trail.

If elected, I will fight to keep the Ymir transfer station open.

If elected, I will provide a monthly newsletter with updates from the board table and continue to bring people together to find practical solutions to the issues we face.

The Work of an Elected Official

The job of an elected official is governance. Elected officials do not “run the town,” manage staff, or oversee day-to-day operations. Their role is to provide strategic direction, make policy decisions, adopt bylaws, approve budgets, set priorities, and ensure the organization has the resources needed to deliver services. They understand that local government decisions involve trade-offs, competing interests, limited resources, legal constraints, and real consequences.

Good governance is about thinking, deciding, and acting in service of the whole community.

I hope, come October 17th, you choose to support me in becoming our next RDCK Director for Area G.
